We are most pleased and excited to announce the first 3 recipients of the Bone Conduction Hearing "Osseo” Award.

The winners will join the long list of "greats” who have received the previously named Tjellström Award and be the start of the Bone Conduction Hearing "Osseo” Award winners!

Osseo award winners! 

Osseo 2013: J.J. Wazen, MD, FACS, ENT Surgeon of the Silverstein Institute, in Sarasota, Florida, USA.
Dr. Wazen was nominated and chosen by the members of the executive Osseo Award committee and has graciously accepted this honor May 19th 2017. He especially has deserved credits with his scientific work in patients with single sided deafness (SSD) and rehabilitating them with the bone-anchored hearing devices as contralateral routing of sound (CROS) devices.

Osseo 2015: Prof. dr. M. Hultcrantz, ENT Surgeon of Karolinska Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden.
Prof Hultcrantz was nominated and chosen by the members of the executive Osseo Award committee and has graciously accepted this honor May 19th 2017. She especially has deserved credits with her scientific work in optimizing the surgical technique for bone conduction hearing implants in combining the linear incision with soft tissue preservation. 

Osseo 2017: Prof. dr. Ir. A.F.M. Snik, audiologist of the ENT department of Radboudumc in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
Prof. Snik was nominated and chosen by the members of the executive Osseo Award committee and has graciously accepted this honor May 19th 2017. He especially deserved credits with his scientific work in defining the maximum power output of the different bone conduction devices.
