- Friday evening 19th May: Network event "Typically Dutch”
Following the scientific program on Friday May 19th a networking evening
will be hosted at a stunning location near the congress center. This dinner
will take place at the beautiful Wijnfort Lent, to which you will be
transported in style. It is a centuries old and historically important defensive
fortress which has been transformed into a unique events location. The evening
will give you extra opportunities to network with colleagues and meet the Congress
faculty. Together you will enjoy an informal yet exquisite dinner with a
typically Dutch theme, represented by several fun activities throughout the
evening. In addition, the three poster prizes will be awarded during this
evening by Sabine Reinfeldt, chair of the poster award committee.
- Saturday afternoon 20th May: Social program "Enjoy the Netherlands”
After the scientific
part of the congress on Saturday has ended you can bring your take-away-lunch
to join our team and further experience the Netherlands at the Hoge Veluwe
National Park. This park features a unique combination of art, nature and
architecture. The park covers 5500 hectares of woodland, heath, grassland, and drifting
sand, and is the natural habitat of deer, mouflon and wild boar. Situated in
the park is the renowned Kröller-Müller Museum, which boasts the second-largest
Van Gogh collection in the world: almost 90 paintings and over 180 drawings.
The museum also has one of the largest sculpture gardens in Europe. A tour
guide will take us through the collection of the Museum and we will enjoy a
walk guided by a forester of the Hoge Veluwe National Park.
